A series of shows will be taking place from February 23 to March 4 for a great preview of Home Venice in the most beautiful square in the world. Partners of the event are the City of Venice, Vela and Red Bull.  Among some of the guests on stage are Furio and the Ska-J, the Stellars, Slick Steve & The Gangsters, Onde Beat and The Fireplaces. The organisers: “We will announce the names of the headliners unexpectedly during the carnival”

The Venice Carnival is one of the most spectacular events in the world, attracting thousands of tourists every year. Perhaps it’s the magical atmosphere that only the lagoon city is able to create, or perhaps it’s because of the beauty of St. Mark’s Square, a location that in itself is worth the trip, or maybe even the happy and carefree vibes of the City: for these and many other reasons, too Home Entertainment, in collaboration with the City of Venice, Vela and Red Bull, has chosen to present the preview of Home Venice.

In fact, from Saturday, February 23, to Monday, March 4, the symbolic square of Venice will be enlivened by a rich program of live music and DJ sets, a preview of the Home Venice festival that will be taking place from July 12 to 14 at Parco San Giuliano in Mestre. On the other hand, this was a natural choice, made by the heart.  The bond that the organisers have with the lagoon city has a long history, from the constant collaboration with the Hard Rock Cafe with live entertainment and events every week, to the choice of the author of the festival logo, the Venetian Sebastiano Girardi.

So here we are at the first big preview of Home Venice. The series of events starts on Saturday, February 23; an evening in collaboration with Hard Rock Cafe Venice, at 6:00 pm with the DJ set of Roberto Meneghello who prepares the field for the Beat Waves, five guys from Treviso who represent the best Italian beat of the roaring ’60s. On Sunday at 5:30 pm are the DJs Detroit Soul and Michele Buran who open the night, followed by a live performance by the official Italian Queen Tribute band, Killer Queen, who has staged thousands of shows.  Monday, again from 5:30 pm, we find Alberto Miani at the console, and then the pure joy and colour of the Mariachi Peralta, a group of international musicians who promote traditional Mexican music throughout Italy.
Tuesday 26 is the repertoire of DJ Tuny Rubber to warm the atmosphere, and from 6:30 onwards the party continues with the best pop dance music of the eighties and nineties with OndeRadioLive; Wednesday leaves room for electronic jazz and funk contaminations by Michael Salamon, former resident DJ of The Club of Palazzina Grassi, and from 6:30 pm the public will be inspired by the Fireplaces with their energetic and dynamic show celebrating their love for music from overseas. Fat Thursday is celebrated on February 28 with the DJ set of Raphael Delaghetto at the console from 5:30 pm and then, from 7:30 pm is the unmissable show of Slick Steve & The Gangsters, an explosive mixture of art, vintage and modern sounds, swing, rock’n roll and circus performances, from the magic atmosphere to the jugglers that take your breath away.
The evening of Friday, March 1 starts at 6:00 pm with the DJ set of Neva Doric, while from 7:30 pm, a plunge into in the magical eighties with the music of Space Zero Band. A fiery weekend is scheduled ahead with Pongo and renowned DJ and producer OYADI who welcome the public on Saturday from 5:30 pm, and from 7:30 a great live performance with the Venetian artist Marco Forieri, better known as Furio, a former singer of Pitura Freska and since 2002 the unleashed frontman of the Ska-j, who for the event, will be performing with Gli Stellari and their energetic Afro-American sound.
On Sunday March 3, the second evening in collaboration with Hard Rock Cafe Venice, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm is dedicated to folk music with singer-songwriter Damien McFly, while from 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm DJ Christian Effe, the top DJ of the Home Rock Bar will take over. Monday 4 March, the last day of the Carnival festival entitled “Home Venice”, is DJ Danielino at the console, followed by the band The Take off who will make the most beautiful square in the world dance to the beat of their swing, boogie-woogie and rock & roll.
